Nino Electrical is a family concern run by myself, Nino Barroso and assisted by my son, Garthe. I have close to 30 years experience in the electrical field, having done my apprenticeship at Iscor (Mittal Steel), qualifying as an electrician and working for them from 1986 to 2003 at which time they privatised various sections and I made the decision to start my own venture.

 

I am an accredited Wireman licensed with the ECB and DoL which enables me to issue a Certificate of Compliance.

 

Experience:

 

Various housing projects in Newcastle and maintenance and repairs at various shopping centres as well as private domestic repairs and maintenance. An opportunity was presented to us to relocate to Durban in 2005 as part of TEC on the Barloworld Project in Riverhorse Valley where I was Electrical Supervisor with a team (including Garthe) Once that project was completed, we worked with Edison Power on the Midlands Liberty Mall extension in Pietermaritzburg.

 

In 2007 we worked in conjunction with SBP Project Managers (now Siyamthanda Projects) on the refurbishing of houses in Zinkwazi, where we did all the electrical refurbishing on 32 houses.

 

We then started on our own projects and did electrical work for Eastman's Spar, Olam, Blue Waters Hotel. Parade Hotel, Belaire Hotel, Albany Hotel, Brown's Drift Tattersalls, Del Coursey Umhlanga and Hillcrest, Dougiwe's Pizza, THM Transport, Spitfire Stores, Coastal Farmers Association, BMW Umhlanga and City just to name a few. We will be happy to provide references if requested. We built up a trust relationship with the owners of these stores to the extent that we did all their private electrical work as well, becoming their "personal" electrician.

 

Relocated to Cape Town at the end of 2013 and are in the process of building up our client base here. Mr Ryan Johnson of Team Orange (Building Contractor) is a regular client, as well as Parklands Super Spar and a number of domestic clients.

 

Our motto is "no job is too big or too small", customer satisfaction is our primary concern, all work is accredited and done to SABS standards Certificate of Co mpliance issued on request.
